Eric Heisman, Project Director
Eric is focused on strategic energy industry analysis and business development projects to help businesses develop low-carbon energy industries. In his current position as a Research Associate with the Carbon War Room, Eric is developing analysis reports and efficiency models to evaluate strategies to reduce industry-wide emissions for multiple global industries. Most recently, Eric worked as a Congressional Intern with the House of Representatives, Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources. In that capacity Eric worked with large-scale solar companies and associations, solar institutions, and staff from Congress and the Senate to evaluate large-scale solar policy and prepare a report to distribute to major stakeholders. With the Subcommittee he also helped facilitate Congressional hearings such as 'Models for Large-Scale Renewable Energy Siting and Transmission'. Prior to these roles and under the direction of Jigar Shah and Travis Bradford, Eric helped write 20 energy briefs on the solar provisions in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 which are available at Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development and GreenVision Institute. Eric is currently an MBA student at The George Washington University where he is studying Environmental Policy & Management.
Jamie Loucks, Solar Programs Analyst
Jamie is focused on resource efficiency analysis, strategy and implementation for MWH Global. This includes the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, water efficiency, sustainability, greenhouse gas emission management and climate change. She is an environmental engineer with experience in strategy development, financial and market analysis prioritization and design of value-added projects. Jamie is a graduate student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, focused on International Business, Finance and Strategy and a MBA candidate for June 2010. She also has a BSE in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Kevin Christopher, State Solar Legislation & Policy Analyst
Kevin is an aspiring cleantech guru. While attending the University of San Francisco School of Law, Kevin has been instrumental in developing the school's first symposium on energy; additionally, he has assisted with the research and publication of a textbook on the interrelation of science and the law, and of an advisory book on social investment under Wiley. Kevin has clerked for the United States Attorney's Office, Civil Division, and for the Honorable Judge Charles Breyer, both within the Northern District of California. Prior to law school, Kevin worked for governmental and charitable groups domestically and abroad; his defining moment involved teaching Ultimate Frisbee to disabled students in Wuhan, China. Jordan Mackey, Advisor
Jordan is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with expected graduation in March 2010. His MBA concentrations include strategic management, finance, entrepreneurship, and accounting and he is looking to transition his career into the renewable energy industry. As Co-leader of the Recovery Act Volunteers he led a group of students to write, edit, and publish 20 short summaries that are informative and actionable sources of information on the solar-related items of the stimulus bill. Other renewable energy experiences include positions as a strategy consultant for a solar PPA start-up and as an engineer for the National Power Company of Iceland. He is an experienced cross-functional team leader with strong analytical skills and a results driven attitude. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002.
